I am going to make a special dinner with my friend Maho & Yuki for Peninsula Macrobiotic Community next Monday, 3/6. Since we will collaborate with a Jazz/Bossa nova singer, Izumi Hayakawa, I decided to prepare the dinner with Brazilian twist. Although the theme for the dinner is Brazil, I am going to use a lot of Japanese vegetables to nourish bodies.
For instance, our main dish will be black beans patties, and I will combine a lot of burdock, konjac and shiitake mushrooms. They are all Japanese super foods that have a lot of medicinal benefits. For the Moqueca stew, I will use Kuzu.
I hope we can fulfill 80 hungry stomachs with happy smiles!
